- Cute fabric (or a piece of that favorite printed T-shirt)
- Wonder Under (or other light weight double sided fusible interfacing)
- Needle and thread or sewing machine for faster results
- Iron
Step 1: Make or find (google a favorite shape, adjust to desired size and cut out for pattern) a fun shape to make your patch. I made this lightning bolt because it was easy and a statement maker (I always get compliments whenever I wear it. The bigger the better I always say.)
Step 2: Iron a piece of Wonder Under to your fabric. Make the fabric and fusible interfacing slightly larger then your pattern. Place and pin your pattern on top of the fused fabric and cut it out.
Step 3: Peel of the backing of the Wonder Under and iron it on desired location of T-shirt (like right over that hole) Sew down and you are done.
***You can patch anything from jeans to sweats to skirts and dresses.***
My then 10 year old son drew this "Flaming Skull" on a clipboard. I thought it would make a perfect patch so I traced and slightly modified it and Voila! AWESOME patch from a kids doodling!
Genius idea - love the skull design on that pretty, lacy t-shirt!
