How to Turn an Old "T" into a Scarf

What You Need:
  • Old "T"
  • Masking Tape
  • Scissors

Step 1: Place masking tape along the edges of your "T", across the shoulders (bottom curve of neck is highest you should place tape), and down middle of shirt as pictured

Step 2: Cut off neck and sides of "T" through both layers of fabric (following tape as your guide), and up the middle of "T". Remove tape.

Step 3: Place the 2 stacks of fabric on top of each other. Cut 1" wide by 1.5" Deep slits through all layers on both ends of fabric.
Step 4: Line fabric pieces end to end (like a train) and tie the opposite strips together in a double knot to secure. Single knot your ends , leave as tassels or cut off if desired. For Tie-It-Up tips and examples check out my demonstration on YouTube channel Merryberryolsen Step 5: Stretch sides to unbunch knots to finishStep 6: Wear in a variety of ways, invite friends over for a Tie-It-Up party and wear your scarf all year round (scarfs are the rage right now)!
