What You Need:
String,cording or ribbon
Beads
Bead stringer (optional)
Scissors

Step 1: Cut your string 4" longer than your book and tie a double knot at one end.

Step 2: String your bead. If the hole is too small you may need a bead stringer to help you pull it through.

Step 3: Make a knot at the other end of bead to secure it. It helps to guide the knot close to the bead before pulling tight. You may need to make it a double knot if your bead hole is too large.

Step 4: Make sure it is still long enough by 1-2" longer (this allows room for beads and knots).

Step 5: Repeat steps 1-3 on other side and trim excess string.

Done!
These make perfect gifts to go along with a book or as present topper. It's so easy your older kids can make them too (if they can tie a double knot then they can do this project).
