Design-A-T Freebie!!!

In honor of our 100th follower, Crafter's Guru is having a one of a kind FREEBIE! For more than a decade I have been cutting up T-shirts and tieing them in unique ways (I really would rather Tie-It-Up than sew). Finally it occurred to me to make a T-shirt in a can with 3 different Tie-It-Up designs (my original name was Designe-A-T). I kept thinking of more and more designs to add in the can. That's when it hit me! Why not make a book! So I designed 100's of ways to design your old "T" and created a book. I searched for an agent and after over 300 inquiries, landed an agent! So an agent later and 11 more book ideas, we are still in the process of finding a publisher. I have had many requests for this book from friends, Facebookers, bloggers and Twitterers. All we need now is a publisher to like it as much as the general public does!So for this unique T-shirt in a can with 3 unique Tie-It-Up Designs to choose from, leave your email in the comment section for your first entry (you must leave an email or I can not contact you if you are the winner. Emails are only used for contacting the winner and for no other purpose). For a second entry go to http://www.tie-it-up.com/ and tell me what you like best about Tie-It-Up (it's a very simple website that I hope to make really great when I get a little settled). For a third entry become a follower (if you are already a follower then you already got the extra entry). Finally for a fourth entry mention this FREEBIE or blog on your blog, Twitter, or Facebook (please let me know if you mentioned it). For every 10 unique user entries I will add another Design-A-T (so you will have a 1 in 10 chance of winning. That's pretty good odds). Tell your friends, good luck, and I hope you win!!! :) :) :) FREEBIE ENDS Wednesday!!!

  3. I like the fact that someone with little to no sewing ability can make these t-shirt projects. It's a great way to introduce kids to crafting.

  22. Just went to Tie-It-Up website and it has me positively drooling for your book, 200 different styles, wow! (although as a "lady of size" I doubt I'd wear the skirts or tube tops). But the jewelry and bag have especially caught my imagination, woo hoo! I hope you get that publisher soon!!!

Have you considered doing it as an ebook like Diane over at CraftyPod has done with her blogging book? It's really pretty easy and I'm sure she'd be willing to discuss her experiences with it, she's really nice :)

  23. wow! the shirts are fun, and i really like the idea of an e-book as well!

my favourite thing about the website is definitely the pics - i wish they were a bit bigger though, i can't read the writing on some of them! i really like the cross my heart top though!

do you have many designs that will work for larger people? that would be a great selling point, because most of the books that are out there now have very little for us fatties!

(my e-mail should show up in my profile, and i'm a follower here and on twitter)
