How to Make Easy Couch Pillows

I loved the bed pillows so much that I wanted to make 3 couch pillows as well. This pattern fits a standard couch pillow.
Here's What You'll Need:
2 yards fabric
coordinating thread
button/Velcro/snaps optional
  1. Cut fabric into a 1 (20" by 20") square for pillow face. Then cut 1 (20" by 18" rectangle and 1 (20" by 8") rectangle for pillow back. These two will become your way of placing your pillow into the new couch pillow case. Just like in the bedroom pillow pattern). Lastly cut 6-8 (4" wide by 20" long) rectangles for the ruffle. An alternative to this is to cut 6-8 (8" by 20") rectangles and fold over fabric if you want the ruffle to show the outside of the fabric on the front and back side of your pillow. I just like to use less fabric to cut cost. (I also used a rotary cutter, ruler and mat to do all of the cutting for ease).
  2. Follow steps 2-6 on Ruffled Pillows.
  3. Add 2-3 straps with fabric or ribbon to keep the back closed and neat. You can also use buttons or Velcro for your closure.
